Appreciate any information on Ditmars incl. sisters: Blanche Ann Ditmar, Caroline Ditmar, Mary Ditmar. Father Isaac Ditmar (b.1826, d.1906) Blanche is my greatgrandmother (6/20/1865 - 9/1941) Her father Isaac was born somewhere in Germany, and Blanche was born in New Hope, PA. I think Isaac was a blacksmith, and served in the Civil War with a Massachusetts regiment. I can find nothing else. If anyone has further information, I would greatly appreciate it.

My gg grandfather, John Friederich Christian Dittmar, was born in Oldisleben in 1798. A number of his children, including my great grandfather Richard Alexander Dittmar, came to America in about 1851. This group of Dittmars took up their abode in Williamsport, PA. Richard Alexander Dittmar was first married in Williamsport, Pa., and a daughter was born to his first wife — both wife and child died and are buried in Williamsport. He then when to Troy, Ohio, where he met and married Cecelia Minerva Benedict producing a daughter and a son (Richard Alexander II). Richard Alexander III is my uncle, brother of my father, Robert Willits Dittmar. Both are now deceased. The offspring of Richard Alexander settled in the Yakima, WA area; Robert Willits' offspring are located in North Carolina, Connecticut, and Virginia. I have a copy of my grandfather's Dittmar history that I have retyped and saved as a PDF. I am willing to share this PDF with interested parties.

I am trying to locate Rich Dittmar that was a law enforcement officer in New Jersey I believe. Back in the 80s he had an organization dedicated to combatting police burnout and I was wanting to contact him.

Saw this on ebay. I have no connection to the item or the person selling it. Item number: 320322908621 This civil war Carte-des-Viste is from an heirloom collection handed down from the owners Great Great Grandfather who was a soldier in the war. If you wish to speak with the gentleman to discuss this he has graciously consented to speak with potential buyers. I will give you his information by e-mail upon request. This picture is signed on the back " Very Respectfully Erhard Dittmar Company B 45th Regt Ill". It has a 3 cent tax stamp. It doesn't have the photographers mark. It is 2 1/2" by 4". It is in good condition except for a small tear in the bottom left corner.

Hi Dittmars. My grandfather was Herman Henry Dittmar. He came to USA from Germany when only a small child. Don't know his first wife's name. She is the mother of my father, Herman Frederick Dittmar born 8/8/08 died in 11/1965. He had a younger brother who preceded him in death. Dad's step-mother was Frieda Dittmar. Dad was born in Hoboken, NJ. Granddaddy had a brother William. He had a son Bill who was married to Tess. They had a son Billy. I have 2 brothers, Robert & George.Robert lives in Arizona and George lives in Toms River, NJ still. I have lots of pictures with no names.  My mother was Elsie May (Newman) Dittmar. I used to think that Dittmar was an uncommon name. Was I wrong!

Hello,I am the grandaughter of Delphine Mae Dittmar AKA-Dellie of Dubuque,Iowa.She lived in Ceader Rapids for many years and then moved to Las Vegas,NV.I know some of her siblings are Alfred, Richard,Phillip,Anna,Louis,Rudolph.Her oldest son Randolph James is my father.
